SIA announces changes to licence dispensation notices

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) has announced changes to the rules for licence dispensation notices (LDNs), which will come into effect on 24 February.

Following the changes, people will have to request the ability to issue LDNs, and can only do so if approved by the SIA.

LDNs can only be issued to employees who held an active SIA licence when they submitted their licence application.

LDNs will be valid for five weeks, compared to the current 10.

The SIA will be holding webinars to answer questions on the changes.
