Businesses invited to CT awareness event

Businesses in Stockport and surrounding areas are being invited to a regional Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Engagement Event by Counter Terrorism Policing North West.

The engagement events are designed to informative events for owners, senior leaders and decision makers from micro, small and medium enterprise businesses, hosted by Counter Terrorism (CT) regions and are aimed at raising awareness.

The events usually include advice, guidance and updates on the work that police and partners are doing to mitigate the terrorist threat.

This event will be delivered by NaCTSO and CTP.

Attendees will learn about the current threat to the UK; Venue and Public Spaces (VaPS) Guidance; Martyn’s Law; The Competent Persons Scheme & Menu of Tactical Options; Risk Management; and Counter Terrorism Awareness Packages.

The organisers are seeking attendees from from across the 16 sectors which fall within the Venue and Public Spaces (VaPS) scope, especially those who have not previously had exposure to previous content and presentations.

Attendees can sign up on line and registration closes on 18th April.
