Leeds man charged with eight terrorism offences

Cameron Gloria De Almeida, 21 from Leeds, has been charged with eight offences following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East.
Originally from Beeston, De Almeida was charged with six offence of disseminating terrorist publications, contrary to section 2(1) and section 2(2)(e) of the Terrorism Act 2006, one offence of possessing a document containing information likely to be useful to someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000, as well as one offence of conspiracy to commit robbery, contrary to section 1 Criminal Law Act 197.
Having been arrested on 1st March 2025 as part of an operation that also searched a residential property in Leeds, A seven-day warrant of further detection was then given by the courts on 2rd March 2025.
De Almeida appeared before Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday 8th March, and will next appear on 14th March 2025.
