Met arrests nine people with help of Live Facial Recognition

The Metropolitan Police has revealed that nine people have been arrested in Romford and Woolwich were arrested by officers with the assistance of Live Facial Recognition technology.

The Met is using the technology across London Borough in an attempt to identify those who are wanted by the courts and police, and to ensure people with conditions issued by the courts are complying with them.

Those arrested in Romford include people accused of breaching Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, breaching court orders, cruelty to children and aggravated burglary.
