PSSA to introduce HVM Installers Scheme as requirement of membership

The Perimeter Security Suppliers Association (PSSA) has announced it is planning to introduce the Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Installers Scheme (HVMIS) as a code of conduct requirement of PSSA membership stating that Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) is a critical aspect of modern security, and its proper implementation is paramount.

The scheme aims to set stringent requirements and processes to ensure quality and efficiency in HVM installation and maintenance. The process  aims to align installation with both physical constraints and the client’s budget, while at the same time, not compromising on safety.

HVMIS was developed with participation from Government bodies, PSSA Council, and several installers and involved an elaborate process of creation, evaluation, and trial. It is expected to be implemented by the end of the year.
