Travel ban for two under counter-terrorism sanctions
A travel ban has been imposed on two individuals under the Domestic Counter Terrorism Sanctions Regime - meaning they cannot enter the UK.
Nazem Ahmad and Mustafa Ayash were designated by HM Treasury on 18 April 2023 and 27 March 2024 respectively.
This action is the first use of new travel ban powers under the Domestic Counter Terrorism Sanctions Regime.
Nazem Ahmad is a suspected Hizballah financier and Mustafa Ayash has been sanctioned for promoting terrorism through his involvement with Gaza Now, a terrorism-promoting media network.
The pair are already subject to financial prohibitions.
