Met Police investigating unauthorised access to supplier's IT system

The Met Police has announced that one of its suppliers suffered unauthorised access to its IT system.

The supplier has access to names, ranks, photos and pay numbers for officers and staff, but no addresses, phone numbers or financial details.

The Met Police is working with the company and has taken security measures as a result of the incident.

The matter has been reported to the National Crime Agency and the Information Commissioner's Office.
