Man charged with ramming police car in Sydney

An alleged white supremacist has been charged with ramming a police car in the south west of Sydney, Australia.

The counter-terrorism unit has been notified of the incident.

The accused, Desmond Liddington, faces charges including high-range drink driving and intimidation.

Liddington is an alleged Neo-Nazi, with a tattoo on his head referring to a racial holy war.

According to police, Liddington rammed a police car with an unregistered Nissan Navarra, as two police constables pulled out of the driveway at Narellan police station.

Acting Inspector Troy Williams said: "It's certainly unique, and it's not something we encounter every day."

New South Wales's Joint counter-terrorism team is investigating the incident.
