Man from Leicester sentenced for terrorism offences

A man from Leicester has been found guilty of and sentenced for four counts of Disseminating Terrorist Publications, contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
Adam Dadhiwala was found guilty by a jury after a week-long trial at Leicester Crown Court.
He was sentenced to a one year custodial sentence and one year extended licence.
Dadhiwala was arrested in March 2022 as part of a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation led by Counter Terrorism Policing North East, with support from Leicestershire Police. The operation investigated sharing of terrorist material on social media.
