Counter Terrorism Command officer receives OBE
Detective Superintendent Mark Gower has received an OBE for services to policing from the Queen at a royal investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Gower was recognised after leading the UK response to the 2015 terrorist attacks in Sousse, Tunisia, in which 38 people, 30 of whom were British, were killed when gunman Seifeddine Rezgui attacked a hotel.
Gower’s honour also follows his involvement and leadership in the response to the 2017 terrorist attack at Finsbury Park and the investigation to find the Parsons Green bomber the same year.
