Man charged with possessing terrorist material

A 28-year-old man has been charged with possessing terrorist material following an investigation by officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.

Mohammed Hamza Ghani, from Barnet, was charged on with four counts of possession of terrorist material contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Having been arrested by officers from the Counter Terrorism Command on Saturday 12 January, Ghani was specifically charged with the following relating to four separate documents: between 1 January 2018 and 12 January 2019 made a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
