Man charged with terrorism offence

A man from east London has been charged with two counts of encouraging terrorism, contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Hamza Alam was arrested on Tuesday and charged on Wednesday.

He has been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 14 September.
