Man convicted of sharing terrorist videos online

A man from Gillingham has been convicted of two counts each of disseminating a terrorist publication and expression of support for a proscribed organisation.
Mohammad Malik was convicted following a four-week trial at Winchester Crown Court.
The 23-year-old was acquitted of possession of a terrorist publication and a further count of disseminating a terrorist publication.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) launched the investigation after being alerted to Malik sharing footage of several Islamist groups over different social media platforms.
His home was raided on 14 January and police seized a phone, computer, hard drives, swords, knives and a homemade Daesh flag.
Malik will be sentenced at a later date.
Det Ch Supt Claire Finlay, head of CTPSE, said: "Malik shared a number of extremely graphic videos online, including some content produced by the media wing of Daesh.
"The videos, some of which he edited himself, glorified the actions of proscribed terrorist groups and terrorist attacks.
"Some of the content he shared was antisemitic and some videos featured footage of executions and beheadings."
