Counter Terror Expo rescheduled for September

Counter Terror Expo and its co-located shows have been rescheduled to take place on 8–10 September 2020 at London ExCeL following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the UK.

Organised by Clarion Events and supported by Counter Terror Business, Counter Terror Expo 2020 was originally scheduled to be staged in May 2020, but, following consultations with exhibitors and other stakeholders, the show will now take place on 8–10 September 2020 to provide the best possible platform for both exhibitors and visitors to do business.

Tracy Bebbington, event director for Counter Terror Expo, Ambition, Forensics Europe Expo, and World Counter Terror Congress, said: “Counter Terror Expo and its co-located events will be postponed until September, following the uncertainty caused by COVID-19.  The decision has been made after careful deliberation with our partners at Informa, in the interests of our collective audience and attendees. The Clarion team will be in immediate contact with all our valued exhibitors and stakeholders to limit any disruption that this may cause, and to ensure that we deliver events of the highest calibre for the industry.”

Every year Counter Terror Expo brings together thousands of senior security professionals from over 100 countries to learn, benchmark strategies, network and explore innovative technologies from around the world to improve national security and aid in the fight against terrorism.

The 2020 conference programme revolves around its core themes of protecting people and infrastructure, policing, counter extremism and de-radicalisation. In addition to the free-to-attend conferences, the internationally-renowned World Counter Terror Congress (WCTC) will bring together over 200 internationally recognised security experts to share national updates on counter-terror strategy, operations and policy, examining the key areas of Prevention, Pursuit and Protection from international terror threats.

The postponement of Counter Terror Expo will also see IFSEC International moved to the same dates in September.
