Knife attack in France injures children

An adult and four children have been injured in a knife attack in a park in the French town of Annecy.

The children are around three years old and three of them are in a critical condition according to police.

According to interior minister Gerald Darmanin on Twitter, the attacker has been arrested.

Reuters reported that the French parliament had held a minute's silence.
