Man sentenced for firearms offences after CT investigation

A man from Edgware has been given a 15-month sentence after pleading guilty to two offences under the Firearms Act and two offences relating to possession of extreme pornography.
25-year-old Spencer Tse appeared at Newport Magistrates Court, following an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing Wales.
The matter in relation to possession of extreme pornography has been adjourned until 8 May.
Detective Chief Inspector Leanne Williams, from Counter Terrorism Policing Wales, said: “We welcome the outcome that was handed down at court today. The sentence follows a lengthy and complex investigation into the production of homemade firearms and possession of ammunition.
“We continue to work closely with partner agencies and police forces across Wales to supress the availability of illegal firearms. The removal and seizure of these items helps to make our communities a safer place to be.
“The support from the public in reporting any information about 3D printed weapons is vital. We’d encourage people to report concerns to us via gov.uk/ACT.”
