Two teenagers arrested on terrorism offences

Two teenage boys have been bailed after being arrested for terrorism offences.

A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested in north London on 28 February during a pre-planned operation, as part of an ongoing investigation by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.

They were arrested on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications (contrary to section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006) and have been bailed until early June.

The investigation is linked to Islamist terrorism.
