Horsham teenager appears in court over terrorism offences

A teenager from Horsham has appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court charged with terrorism offences.

Cameron Finnigan was arrested at his home on 26 March.

The 18-year-old has been charged with one count of preparation of terrorist acts, one count of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, and one count of possessing indecent images of a child.

The court heard how he was alleged to be planning an attack against a single homeless individual who was living in a tent.

The prosecution also alleged that he was involved in online extremist groups.
