Man arrested after racist graffiti written on sign at Dulwich Hamlet FC

A man has been arrested after racist graffitti was written on a sign at Dulwich Hamlet FC, the Met Police have reported.

Between Sunday, 21 July and Friday, 9 August a man repeatedly wrote grossly offensive racist remarks on an entrance sign.

On Thursday, 29 August, officers arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage and displaying writing with intent to stir up racial hatred.

He was taken to a south London police station before being bailed pending further enquiries.

The club has been notified.
