Man charged with terrorism offences

A 19-year-old has been charged with terrorism offences. The charges include three counts of dissemination of a terrorist publication, contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2006.

Ibrahim Ahmad from Vienna, was charged on Friday following an investigation by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, supported by officers from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit.

He was remanded in custody after appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday 27 August. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday 30 September.
