Three Parsons Green suspects released

Three men arrested in relation to the recent Parsons Green terrorist attack have been released with no further action on 26 September. Seven people have been arrested as part of the investigation being carried out by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, but the latest releases take the current number to six. One person, Ahmed Hassan, has been charged. The 18-year-old has been charged with attempting to murder persons travelling on a District Line Train from Wimbledon, contrary to section 1(1) Criminal Attempts Act 1981, and maliciously caused by triacetone triperoxide (TATP) or other explosive substance and explosion of a nature likely to endanger life or to cause serious injury to property, contrary to section 2 Explosive Substances Act 1883.
