Brussels lockdown continues after anti-terror raids

Belgian police have made 16 arrests in anti-terror raids across Brussels and Charleroi, with authorities warning that suspected Paris attacks gunman Salah Abdeslam remains at large.

Universities, schools and the metro system in the Belgian capital remain closed as Brussels continues its highest level of terror alert.

Brussels has been on lockdown over the 20-23 November weekend, amid searches for Abdeslam, who is suspected of being among the assailants who killed 130 people in Paris on 13 November.

The Belgian authorities have so far charged three people during the 22 separate raids, but report that no weapons or explosives have been found.
