Man charged with terrorism offences

Following an investigation related to Islamist terrorism by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, a man from east London has been charged with 14 terrorism offences.

Ismail Kissa has been charged with 13 counts of dissemination of a terrorist publication (contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006) and one count of possessing a document containing information likely to be useful for terrorism (contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000).

He was remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court.

He was initially arrested at Stansted Airport in March.
