Pakistan carries out retaliatory strikes into Iran

Pakistan has carried out missiles strikes into Iran, which it says hit "terrorist hideouts".

Nine people have reportedly been killed, including four children.

The strikes come after Iran carried out its own strikes in Pakistan on Tuesday.

Pakistan's foreign ministry confirmed that it carried out the strikes.

Pakistan's army said that the strikes targeted terrorist organisations, including the Balochistan Liberation Army and the Balochistan Liberation Front.

Pakistan claims that the strikes carried out by Iran earlier in the week killed two children. Iran said the strikes were aimed at Jaish al-Adl, not citizens. Jaish al-Adl has previously carried out strikes in Iran.
