Two police officers stabbed in London

The Metropolitan Police says two officers are currently being treated in hospital after receiving stab wounds.

The incident happened at around 6am in Leicester Square.

The police said a taser was deployed and a man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker. He is also being treated in hospital.

An investigation is underway, and police said it is not being treated as terror related.
