Man charged with terrorism offence after protest arrest

A man who was arrested at a protest in November has now been charged with a terrorism offence.

Khaled Hajsaad has been charged with wearing an item of clothing or wearing, carrying or displaying an article that arouses suspicion that he is a member or supporter of a proscribed organisation, contrary to section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The 24-year-old from Birmingham has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 17 January.

He was arrested at a protest in central London on 25 November.
