Eight people have been convicted for their roles in the 2016 Nice terror attack.

86 people were killed and 400 injured when a truck was driven into crowds watching fireworks on Bastille Day.

Seven men and one woman were convicted of conspiring to orchestrate the attack.

The accused received sentences of between two and eighteen years.

Mohamed Ghraeib and Chokri Chafroud were given the longest sentences after being convicted of terror charges.

Ramzi Arefa was sentenced to 12 years for selling a weapon to the attacker Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel.

One of the eight defendants was tried in absentia. A ninth suspect died by suicide in detention in June 2018.
