15-year-old boy charged with terrorism offences

The Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command has announced that a 15-year-old boy has been charged with terrorism offences.

The boy was charged on 13 March with two offences under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. He was arrested and detained under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 7 March after officers attended an address in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
