18-year-old to stand trail over Parsons Green attack

Ahmed Hassan Mohammed Ali will stand trial in March over the Parsons Green terrorist attack.

The teenager, from Surrey, has been charged with attempted murder and using the chemical compound triacetone triperoxide (TATP) to cause an explosion that was likely to endanger life. The attack, carried out on 15 September, injured 30 people.

The suspect appeared to a hearing at the Old Bailey via prison video link and remains remanded in custody.
