Scottish terror awareness campaign announced

Radio adverts ask Scots to report suspicious behaviour

A new terror awareness awareness campaign has been launched in Scotland.

A series of radio adverts will ask Scots to continue to be vigilant and report suspicious activity to the police.

ACPOS Lead on Counter Terrorism Assistant Chief Constable Colin McCashey said: "We all know that the threats against us continue to diversify, from Al Qaida-led and inspired groups to Irish-related terrorism and right-wing extremists."

"We cannot do it alone, the police and security services need the help of the public to protect the country from the threat of terrorism. When that normality changes, go with your gut instinct. if you see any suspicious behaviour, tell the police."
