Teenager to appear in court on terrorism charges

A teenager from Walsall has been charged with possessing explosives and sharing online material that could encourage acts of terrorism and is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court.

West Midlands Police said Vaughn Conrad John Dolphin was arrested on 27 June in Cheshire.

He has been charged with two counts under the Explosive Substances Act and eight counts under the Terrorism Act. The charges include possession of quantities of explosive substances and sharing online material that could encourage the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. He has also been charged with with possessing documents of a kind likely to be useful to a someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
