Man extradited from Spain faces terrorism charges

A British national based in Alicante is due in court to face terrorism charges after being extradited from Spain.

The charges follow an investigation led by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command and related to extreme right wing terrorism.

Kristofer Thomas Kearney is charged with two counts of disseminating a terrorist publication.

He was extradited from Spain in early September and arrested by counter terrorism officers when he arrived in the UK.

He appeared for a preliminary hearing at the Old Bailey last week and his trial will begin in June next year.
