Frontier Pitts is the British manufacturer of Security Gates, Automatic Barriers, Rising & Static Bollards, Road blockers, Pedestrian Control Gates & Turnstiles.

From the UK headquarters in Crawley, Sussex, Frontier Pitts can provide a complete range of services including design, free site surveys, manufacture, installation and maintenance, spares, repair or refurbishment and full project management.

Our in-house engineering team can adapt our standard range of products to offer bespoke solutions to suit specific applications and unique site requirements.

In 2023 we have also been awarded the International Standard Organisation (ISO) Integrated Management System (IMS) by ISOQAR, combining ISO14001 Environmental and ISO45001 Health & Safety into our well-established ISO 9001 Quality Management System, to improve efficiency and meet the high standards required by our clients. Under the scope of the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of steel fabrications, including electronically powered gates and barriers, an integrated management system shows Frontier Pitts commitment to encompass all Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental (QSHE).

Anti Terra Range to IWA14 & PAS68

Our Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Range includes a wide range of successfully impact tested Gates, Barriers, Blockers, and Rising and Static Bollards, impact tested to either IWA14 or PAS68 to a range of energies.

The Terra Bi-fold Gate joins the IWA14 Terra G8 Sliding Cantilevered Gate (7.2t at 40mph), the PAS68 Terra Sliding Cantilevered Gate (7.5t at 50mph) and the PAS68 Terra V Gate (7.5t at 50mph).

The Automatic Terra Barriers include the PAS68 Compact Terra Barrier (3.5t at 30mph) and the PAS68 Terra Ultimate Barrier (7.5t at 50mph), with the manual swing arm barriers including the Terra 180 Swing Barrier (7.2t at 30mph) and the Terra Ultimate 180 Swing Barrier (7.2t at 50mph)

Our large portfolio of Frontier Pitts HVM Bollards includes the IWA14 Rising Terra Universal Bollard (7.2t at 50mph), the IWA14 Rising Terra Galaxy Bollard (7.2t at 30mph), the innovative Side folding PAS 68 Shallow Terra Quantum Bollard (7.5t at 30mph) which is the ideal solution for inner city areas with limited foundation depths. Our Static Bollards include the Terra Jupiter Bollard (7.5t at 50mph), Terra Neptune Bollard (7.5t at 40mph), Terra Mars Bollard (7.5t at 40mph), Terra Venus Bollard (7.5t at 30mph), with shallow and removable options also available.

LPS1175 Security Gate range

Frontier Pitts are constantly identifying the ever-changing security threats and have now further developed their Automatic High Security Gate portfolio to provide an Intruder Resistant “Platinum” range successfully proven to resist attack to LPS1175. All Secured by Design accredited

Many clients had been installing unrated Security Gates that had not been tested alongside LPS1175 security rated fence lines. By testing and upgrading certain elements on all models of our Automatic Security Gates, Frontier Pitts is now pleased to bring to the market the first complete LPS1175 Anti-Intruder Gate Range to the market, introducing another perimeter security layer to the security onion.
 
Terra Bi-fold Gate, HVM Gate impact tested to IWA14 stopping 7.2t at 30mph and LPS1175 Security Rated to B3/SR2. This is the first HVM Double Leaf Bi-folding Gate and first VSB (Vehicle Security Barrier) in the World to be certified with both IWA14 and LPS1175 by BRE and listed on the Red Book Live. Available in widths up to 8m, this is the perfect solution for any building or perimeter fence line bringing together Hostile Vehicle Mitigation protection from the threat of VBIED’s (vehicle borne improvised explosive devices) and LPS1175 Security Rated Automatic Gates where the mechanism of the automatic gate is tested, not just the infill.

The Platinum Automatic Security Gate range with Security Ratings of 1, 2 and 3 includes:

Platinum Bi-folding Gate: double leaf up to 10m wide, single leaf up to 5m wide

Platinum Sliding Gate up to 10m wide, and another market first, the double leaf with a clear opening up to 14m

Platinum Hinged Gate: double leaf up to 10m wide, single leaf up to 5m wide

Platinum Pedestrian Gate: Fully Automatic, Semi-Automatic, Manual operation.

Our Platinum Turnstile successfully resisted an intensive attack test programme to LPCB’s LPS 1175: Issue 8 to Security Rating B3; toolkit B for 3 minutes. This involved a series of attack tests each lasting at least 3 minutes using a wide array of hand tools and battery powered tools. Now available with a 120 or 3 section walkway – the first security rated LPCB Turnstile on the market with a larger rotor configuration, giving users more room to pass through the turnstile
