Perimeter Security Suppliers Association
The Perimeter Security Suppliers Association (PSSA) is the trade association for companies involved in the supply and installation of products designed to provide high levels of physical protection and intruder detection for sites and their external perimeters in all circumstances where terrorist or criminal attack is a perceived risk.
Members of the association supply a wide range of high performance high security perimeter protection products, many of which have been independently tested, and which include vehicle barriers and blockers, bollards, turnstiles, gates, perimeter fences and walls, detection systems, street furniture, and other specialist equipment developed for this demanding sector of the security market.
A non-profit trade association limited by guarantee registered in 2009, the PSSA was originally formed with the encouragement of the UK government body the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) which shares its objective to promote the use of high performance products and their professional installation around the world.
PSSA membership is often now a pre-requisite for clients looking to use pre-vetted companies with an emphasis on quality.
The PSSA is a regular contributor to Counter Terror Business magazine. Chairman Paul Jeffrey has written on various topics, including the protection of crowded spaces and hostile vehicle attacks.
