Cyber conference confirmed for Wales in 2021
The National Cyber Security Centre has confirmed that the government’s flagship cyber security conference, CYBERUK, will take place in Wales in 2021 following its postponement this year due to the coronavirus.
The annual CYBERUK event had been due to begin at the ICC Wales in Newport this month, but restrictions around mass gatherings as a result of the pandemic led to its postponement earlier this year. Now the NCSC, which is a part of GCHQ, has confirmed the event will be held at the same venue next May.
CYBERUK brings together more than 2,500 delegates, with a focus on ensuring the UK leads the way when it comes to cyber resilience.
Ciaran Martin, CEO of the NCSC, said: “CYBERUK is a great opportunity to bring together experts from around the globe, and while the postponement of the Newport conference was unavoidable it was clearly disappointing. So it’s fantastic that we’ll be coming together at this great venue next year to share ideas and insights from across the industry.”
