As a manufacturer of bespoke physical security shutters, an integral part of the work at Charter Global is to assess the risks and threats that present themselves to people and property, no matter what the industry or application is. 

By understanding those threats, and helping organisations to develop a layered security plan, we ensure that the optimum security roller shutters are selected and installed for doors, windows and large access openings.

Established in 2005, Charter Global Ltd has grown to become an industry leader in the product design, manufacture, and installation of premium high security roller shutter solutions across multiple sectors and applications.

Charter boasts a wealth of experience in the markets it serves, from intelligently concealed security shutters for ultra-prime residential homes through to specialist shutter systems for protecting national infrastructure and military sites.

High Performance security standards

Our capabilities and innovation in the development of roller shutters have led to products that are able to withstand the highest levels of resistance to forced entry, power tools, blast and ballistic attack. We also design security roller shutters to withstand climate extremes such as high winds and coastal environments.

Charter Global have an unrivalled product range with multiple international certifications and have led the UK market in product innovation and development. Our achievements include:  

• The first company in the world to be awarded the ultra-high security certification ratings, achieving LPS 1175 E20 and G15 categories, by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB).
• The only UK company to hold certification for security shutters from the US Department of State.
• Certification from the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) - the UK government's National Technical Authority for physical and personnel protective security for our Obexion MD XR shutter. 
• Selected products with EN1627:2021 certification.
• Plus Charter’s products meet ballistic and blast standards to protect against firearms and high volume explosives.

Bespoke solutions around the world

As threat levels have increased over recent years, our shutters have also been used to enable rapid lockdown to create safe areas in buildings, such the London Stock Exchange.  Here our Obexion Rapideploy shutters were installed to enable rapid lockdown in the case of a terror attack. 

Past projects have also included security roller shutters for British Embassies in Athens and Armenia, government buildings in Belgium and Bangkok, prime residencies in France, a car park facility for armoured vehicles in Asia, as well as high security warehouses and commercial buildings throughout Africa and Asia.

Design & manufacturing
Charter’s experienced team can assist in the design of all security shutter systems from concept and initial feasibility through to detailed construction drawings.

OBEXION
Obexion currently offers the widest range of certifications on the market up to LPS 1175, Issue 8, E20, and G15, resulting from many years of development and rigorous testing.

Obexion Security Shutters have achieved several industry firsts, from NPSA and HVM certification, to successfully attaining independent approval for use by both the UK government and the US Department of State. The complete shutter range is also recognised by the ACPO Secured by Design initiative and is a police-preferred specification.

INTEGR8
Integr8 Security Shutters are a specialist range of roller shutters for many applications including local government sectors covering community, healthcare and education. 

Offering customised interface solutions, Interg8 Shutters have the capability for both structural or non-structural integration thanks to our unique lintel shutter design. 
For facilities that may otherwise go unprotected, structural integration of our lintel shutters ensures mitigation of theft, vandalism and destruction of property.

EQUILUX
Equilux is Charter Global’s premium brand dedicated to tailored physical solutions for securing prestigious residential and heritage properties. With close attention to architectural flair, Equilux boasts an extensive catalogue of products for applications including traditional town homes, coastal residences, luxury new builds and many other prestigious properties.
