Mayor of London marks fourth anniversary of Fishmongers' Hall attack
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has issued a statement on the fourth anniversary of the Fishmongers' Hall terror attack.
Marking the attack in which Saskia Jones and Jack Merritt were killed, Khan said:“Today we honour and remember Saskia Jones and Jack Merritt, who were killed in the appalling terrorist attack at Fishmongers’ Hall four years ago. They were two young lives full of potential, tragically taken away from us far too soon. We also pay tribute to our heroic emergency services and the brave Londoners who ran towards danger to help others and save the lives of strangers that day.
“The way our city came together and stood firm in the aftermath of the attack remains an inspiration to us all. Those who seek to divide us and destroy our way of life in London will never succeed.
“Our city remains united against all forms of hate and we will continue working with communities, partners and the police to tackle hatred in all its forms with education and counter the threat of terrorism, as we continue to build a safer London for everyone.”
