£7 million to fight antisemitism in Autumn Budget

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has unveiled his autumn budget in the House of Commons.

Among the measures is £7 million to tackled antisemitism, following a rise since the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

£7 million over the next three years will go to organisations like the Holocaust Education Trust, to tackle antisemitism in schools and universities.

Hunt said: "When it comes to antisemitism, and all forms of racism, we must never allow the clock to be turned back."

The chancellor has also confirmed that the UK will meet its NATO commitment to spend 2 per cent of GDP on defence.
