Man arrested on suspicion of terrorism offence

A 22-year-old man has been arrested by detectives from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command on suspicion of encouraging terrorism, contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

The man was arrested in east London under the Police and Crime Evidence Act on Tuesday 12 September and is in custody at a south London police station while officers search a property in east London.
