Counter terror police arrest teenage man in Hertfordshire

The Metropolitan Police has said a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts. The arrest took place in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, on 23 May, with police saying that the activity is connected to the arrest of an 18-year-old man by armed police in north London the previous week. The man is being questioned at a south London police station whilst an address in Bishop’s Storstford is searched. A 20-year-old woman was also arrested by the Metropolitan Police Service’s Counter Terrorism Command on the same day for failing to disclose information about acts of terrorism, contrary to Section 38B of the Terrorism Act 2000.
