Online counter-terror arrests made in Manchester

Two arrests have been made today in relation to online auction fraud in Manchester, it has been reported.

Following the raids a 35-year-old man was arrested in north Manchester and a second man, aged 32, was held at an address in the Bury area, believed to be Prestwich

A Met Police spokesman said: “A man aged 35 was arrested at an address in the north Manchester area. A second man, aged 32, was arrested at an address in the Bury area.

“Searches at the two addresses, as well as an additional residential address and a business address in Manchester, are currently ongoing.

“Both men have been taken into police custody in the Manchester area, where they currently remain. Enquiries continue. The arrests are in relation to an investigation into an online auction fraud.”
