Amber Rudd appointed new Home Secretary
New Prime Minister Theresa May has appointed Amber Rudd as the new Home Secretary. Rudd will leave her role as Energy and Climate Secretary and take over May’s former role. Rudd’s previous political experience also includes Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer (2012-2013) and Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Climate Change (2014-2015). Rudd has also been the MP for Hastings and Rye since 2010.
