Three arrested in Sheffield an Huddersfield

Counter terrorism forces have arrested three men in Sheffield and Huddersfield, in raids across Yorkshire that were not linked to the Manchester Arena bombing. Two men, aged 24 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of terror offences while a third, 23, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. A Police statement said: “There are no connections to the recent incident and investigation in Manchester. The operation is based on recently received intelligence. We understand that people may have concerns as a result of this activity and we are grateful for the patience and understanding of the public while these inquiries are carried out.”
